LONDON - Chickens are being set on fire or buried alive across East Asia as
countries struggle to prevent the spread of bird flu, an animal welfare
organization said today.
The World Society for the Protection of Animals, or WSPA, said it had
received reports from its Asian members about cruelty to chickens in disease control
campaigns in South Korea, Vietnam, China, and Taiwan.
