Animal Activists Launch Campaign Against Maryland's Hunting Season

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- A hearing is set for Wednesday in Annapolis on a bill 
blocking the state from holding a black bear hunting season. 
Animal rights activists have began a radio advertising campaign to drum-up 
interest in the bill (House Bill 451). The ad is voiced by Baltimore-native and 
television soap opera star Grant Aleksander. 
Meanwhile, a bear behavior expert from California is expected to help lead in 
anti-hunting rally Tuesday night in Bethesda then appear at Wednesday's 
hearing.
