AR-News: (CA-sk) Deer disease rises

SASKATOON -- Nineteen mule deer have tested positive for chronic wasting
disease in Saskatchewan since testing resumed this fall, signalling the
disease may be spreading, say provincial officials. Joe Warbeck of
Saskatchewan Environment said about one-third of the infected deer were
found outside the herd reduction area at Saskatchewan Landing provincial
park, 50 km north of Swift Current.
