N.S. village outlaws breed 
Winnipeg won't be banning Rottweilers, despite a recent move by a Nova Scotia 
town to poo-poo the powerful dogs. "We're not considering (banning) the 
Rottweiler, or any other breed," City of Winnipeg Animal Services director Tim Dack 
said this week. 
Municipality administrators in the tiny community of Guysborough, N.S., 
passed a bylaw Wednesday barring its residents from owning Rottweilers. 
Those in town who already own a rottie can keep their pets -- as long as the 
dogs are registered with authorities by May 1. About 1,600 people live in the 
town.
