Life-Saving Valentine's Day Raffle 
- enter now - Deadline is 12:00 midnight Friday, February 13th 
Between Valentine's Day and June 14th of this year approximately 13,000
animals will be admitted into AC&C shelters.  Multiply this number by
four to understand the staggering statistics the Animal Care & Control
and NYC is determined to change.  Homeless, abused, lost and stray, these
animals need your help.
Be a part of the change this week by contributing to the Valentine's Day
Donation Drive.  By donating now you will provide homeless pets with the
necessary care they need on Valentine's Day.  Any amount you can provide
will improve our shelters and animal care.  Please pass this information
on to your friends to impact the lives of even more city animals.  Their
survival is in everyone's hands.  
Donate by midnight on the eve of Valentine's Day (stroke of midnight on
Friday the 13th)** to help change the luck of an AC&C shelter cat or dog.
 AC&C will enter your name in our LUCKY DOG RAFFLE for a memorable

New York City is forming a coalition against the unnecessary
euthanization of neighborhood cats and dogs simply because our City
shelters are lacking the space to provide care and a safe space until
they are found and adopted.  Last year the Department of Health decided
to take a stand on this issue by inviting Ed Boks of Arizona to lead a
team in a “no-kill” initiative.  His resume reflects status as the
national leader in animal care and safety.  He successfully created a
turn-around in the midst of devastation.  His Maricopa County animal
shelter still maintains a “no-kill” status in his absence.  Arriving in
January, he and his new executive staff intend to help New York City do
the same.  Join AC&C in this fight against unnecessary euthanization.  It
is everyone's responsibility to CARE.

Where:  Picnic House, Prospect Park Brooklyn
(West at the 5th Street entrance)
We have many adoptable dogs, kittens, puppies and cats that need shelter
and love.

Adoption fees include:
 microchipping, spay /neuter, 2 weeks animal care and vaccination
Facepainting from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
