AR-News: (S. Africa) Skin-and-bone dog saved from mine shaft

Every dog has its day - and for a seven-year-old Boerboel cross, Tuesday was 
it.

The dog was found wedged in a 20m-deep mine hole on a smallholding at 
Doornrandjies, south of Centurion, by Graham Curtis who was walking through the veld.

"I was taking a shortcut to the main road when I came across the mine hole," 
said Curtis. He was intrigued by the hole and started to investigate. 

"I saw this poor dog at the bottom. It wasn't howling or crying - it was just 
sitting there," he said.
