Every dog has its day - and for a seven-year-old Boerboel cross, Tuesday was
it.
The dog was found wedged in a 20m-deep mine hole on a smallholding at
Doornrandjies, south of Centurion, by Graham Curtis who was walking through the veld.
"I was taking a shortcut to the main road when I came across the mine hole,"
said Curtis. He was intrigued by the hole and started to investigate.
"I saw this poor dog at the bottom. It wasn't howling or crying - it was just
sitting there," he said.
