BALI : Indonesia's Social Welfare Minister Jusuf Kalla is confident the
bird flu crisis will ease in six months' time.

To stop the spread, more than 10 million chickens in the country will have
to be culled.

In what would shock animal rights activists, scurrying chickens were also
beaten, kicked and some had their necks twisted by hands.
