BIRD FLU IS NATURE FIGHTING BACK

Bird flu, mad cow disease, SARS, Ebola, and even AIDS have one thing in 
common: They're nature fighting back. The recent mudslides in the provinces 
of Southern Leyte and Surigao, the landslides in Ormoc City and the Cherry 
Hills subdivision in Antipolo City some years ago, the red tides and fish 
kills -- these are all nature's protests against the abuses that man 
inflicts on it. The so-called "metabolic diseases" -- hypertension, heart 
disease, atherosclerosis, stroke, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases, 
obesity -- they are the result of man's gluttony.
