AR-News: (US-ks) Animal Lover Rescues Cat Shot In Face

MISSION, Kan. -- A 1-year-old cat severely injured in a shooting was the
recipient of an outpouring of care from animal shelters in Fort Riley and
Mission, Kan.

Veterinarians said the cat, named "Fiona," was shot in the face at
point-blank range with a pellet gun on about Jan. 28. Despite a bad
initial prognosis, workers at the Pet Connection inside Mission Center
Mall think the animal is going to survive.
