 Vice President Dick Cheney, who continues to be a believer even after the 
president has begun shying away, could also take the stage to explain what made 
him so sure of the Saddam-WMD-terrorist axis. But the VP is too busy hunting 
with rich donors on ranches filled with armies of captive pheasants while the 
world waits for answers. Yes, we learn the VP indulges in a peculiar sport 
called "canned hunting" where animals are released in an enclosed ranch so rich 
men can shoot them down. On one such rigged hunt last month, he and his buddies 
shot down 417 of the 500 birds released from towers. He is not fair to man or 
beast. The grim reality show called Iraq has played out but the vice president 
is unmoved.
