WILLIS -- After numerous calls from neighbors, officials with Montgomery
County Animal Control will seize close to 20 dogs from a home on Cedar Lane near
Willis today.
According to Kelli Copeland, director for Animal Control, the dogs are
beginning to show signs of neglect.
"The dogs are getting skinny, and we are going to seize the dogs," Copeland
said. "The owner is aware of it."
Copeland said the dogs' owner was working with Animal Control but did not
find homes for the animals by Jan. 19, as stipulated by the department.
"She understands the dogs are going to be seized," Copeland said. "She wants
her dogs back and said she will work with us."
The owner could not be reached for comment.
