AR-News: (India) Goat sales shoot up before Eid ul Zuha

New Delhi, The Indian capital has seen a sharp rise in the sale of goats over 
the last week as Muslims here prepared for Eid ul Zuha Monday, a festival 
that stresses the importance of sacrifice. 
Each Muslim family, provided it can afford to do so, is obliged to sacrifice 
a goat and distribute the meat among friends and relatives. 
In the Indian capital alone, around 1.2 million goats have been sold over the 
last week. People thronged markets from early morning Sunday to get the best 
animals. 
Old Delhi's Jama Masjid area sells the largest number of goats here and the 
numbers go up to 500,000.
