Hospital casualty unit with animal instincts
>From saving the life of a dog involved in a road accident to filing a
rabbit's claws and performing dental work on a cat - it's all in a day's work for
staff at the Sheffield PDSA Petaid hospital. Reporter Jade Beecroft met the
city's animal doctors.

treatment for pets whose owners cannot afford expensive vets fees.

stricken animals from all over South Yorkshire every day, while the hospital also
provides a 24-hour emergency service.

Capewell. "But we do get the odd unusual case too.
"The strangest experience I've had while working here was trying to perform a
stomach tube procedure on a huge Indian Python."
