The RSPCA says it is concerned crocodile safari hunters will have no
incentive to ensure they kill the animals humanely.
The animal welfare group has made a submission in response to the Northern
Territory Government's draft crocodile management plan that would allow
international tourists to hunt the reptiles.
The RSPCA's Hugh Wirth says there is strong public opposition to the plan,
but it may not influence the final decision.
"The political outcome is controlled by money, those hunters who join safaris
are very rich people, they've got a lot of money to spend," he said.
"You know spending 30, 40, 50 thousand dollars on a trophy hunting is nothing
to these people, and money and politics don't mix well."

"The world is a dangerous place,
not because of those who do evil,
but because of those who look on and do nothing.",
