AR-News: (India) Punjab zoo to acquire rare animals and birds

Chandigarh, Jan 27 (IANS) :

A Punjab zoo will acquire rare animals and birds under an exchange programme 
with other institutions.

"Under the exchange programme there is a proposal to acquire three rare 
species of animals - swamp deer, chausinga and chinkara - and five pairs of khalij 
pheasants," said Kuldeep Kumar, director of the Mahendra Chaudhry Zoological 
Park.
