WINNIPEG - A new billboard highlighting People for the Ethical Treatment
of Animals' continuing crusade against Kentucky Fried Chicken won't be
seen in Winnipeg anytime soon, after a decision by Viacom Outdoor not to
sell billboard space to the animal rights organization.

The advertisement features a cartoon image of Colonel Sanders covered in
blood and clutching a terrified chicken in one hand and a butcher knife in
the other. It was deemed too inflammatory for Winnipeg.

The campaign also includes the tag line: "Kentucky Fried Cruelty ... We Do
Chickens Wrong."
...
PETA has used similar billboards in successful campaigns against
food-chain giants McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King.
