AR-News: (UK) Val joins in fight against ivory trade

A CROWTHORNE woman has donated a precious family heirloom to help save 
elephants threatened by the illegal ivory trade.
Dedicated environmentalist Val Linnington inherited a procession of carved 
ivory elephants from her grandmother, but now she has decided to give them to 
the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
It is collecting unwanted ivory to build a public memorial to elephants 
slaughtered for their valuable tusks.
