AR-News: (AU) There's nothing so grand as fluffy puppy love

For some people, animals can be an intricate part of their life.

Jan and Bruce Moran and their family at Middle Falbrook Road, outside 
Singleton, share their 10-acre farm with a variety of animals.

Their samoyd recently had four pups, but now there is just one left.

It is so young they haven't named it.

The family's pets include four breeds of female dogs, six cockatiels, two 
steers and, a few years ago, two horses and a couple of foals.

Mrs Moran has a particular fondness for her samoyd, Jewel, aged almost eight.

She says Jewel does not mind the excessive heat during high summer.

"Long-haired dogs tend to lift their hair so the air can get into it," she 
said.
