PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- The humane society has rescued 22 malnourished, 
flea-ridden dogs from two puppy mills in southeastern Ontario. 

Insp. Kevin Feagan, the society's general manager, said most dogs were 
smaller than they should be "and absolutely infested with fleas." 

Feagan said staff found close to 80 dogs inside a shed and the owner's home 
when they visited a puppy mill in Norwood for the first time on Wednesday.
