Long time animal activist and vegetarian, Eric will be addressing some of the common concerns people may have about feeding their animal companions a totally vegan diet. (But aren't cats naturally meat eaters? How do the animals get all the nutrients they need? Will my animal[s] get sick? What if my dog/cat/ferret refuses to eat the new food? Isn't a raw, organic meat diet the best choice for cats?)  We'll also be delving into the mysterious world of the pet food industry, and its connections with the pharmaceutical and veterinary industries. As well, Eric will share with us some of his experiences running a no-kill animal shelter from out of his home!
