Ex-workers made allegations of abuse in Warren County

LEBANON -- A report due this month is expected to clear the Warren County
Humane Association of all allegations of animal abuse made by two former
employees last year, shelter attorney James Heath said.
The complaints spurred the resignations in late May of more than half of the
shelter's board of directors.
Heath, appointed by the remaining board members and who conducted the
investigation for free, said he will not release the details of his report now. But
he said his conclusions will disprove the allegations and provide possible
motives for them.
"We've got nothing to hide and we want the public to have available
everything in this report, to see what I have and learn what I know," he said.
The 15-year-old Lebanon-based shelter came under attack last spring when
Melissa Wilson-Cooper and Mandy MacCutcheon, both of Lebanon, complained to
then-shelter board President Wendy McAdams that cats were being neglected,
mistreated and inhumanely euthanized.
