AR-News: (US CO) Our stake in the Everglades

The price of drinking water in metro Denver and plans to save Everglades 
National Park in Florida have something in common: a case pending before the U.S. 
Supreme Court. 
The justices will hear arguments next week on a lawsuit titled South Florida 
Water Management District vs. Miccosukee Tribe of Indians. Eleven states, 
including Colorado, are siding with South Florida, but 13 states and several 
environmental groups support the tribe's position.
At stake is whether suppliers must treat water they move from one drainage to 
another. The outcome could have implications for Denver and Colorado Springs, 
both of which pipe Western Slope water over the Continental Divide.
