AR-News: (US-id) Regional Beef School scheduled Wednesday: Mad cow case in U.S. is one topic of discussion

POCATELLO - Ranchers and local experts will meet on Wednesday to discuss
beef industry issues, including the recent discovery of an animal with mad
cow disease, at the 44th annual Regional Beef School.

At the conference, Dr. Jim England, University of Idaho Caine Veterinary
Teaching Center director, will discuss herd health and biosecurity on
ranching operations.

He will also present timely information on bovine spongiform
encephalopathy, or mad cow disease. At the school, England will explain
the disease, what it does and how it is spread.
