AR-News: (US IL) Surgery gives dog new lease on life

When Kathy Johnson met a shaggy-haired dog at the Franklin County Animal 
Control in October, she saw something more than a canine in need of a home. She 
saw an angel.
"There she was all this fur," Johnson said. "Then I noticed that she was 
missing part of her leg."
