AR-News: (OK) Woman seeks home for abandoned dogs

Dogs are man's best friends. That is how the saying goes, anyway. You would 
never guess this, however, if you saw how two local canines have been treated 
this holiday season. 
On some rental property located on Brangus Road just east of Shawnee live two 
abandoned dogs. Thin and hungry, the dogs struggle just to survive from day 
to day. 
They have no one to love them and no one to play with them. They are forced 
to hide in a barn for shelter and to scrounge in the cold, wet mud for most of 
their meals.
These living conditions inspired Shawnee resident Christy Ray to do 
everything within her power to find homes for the two. 
"They are sweet and lovable, but really, really thin," she said.
