AR-News: (Australia) Outlaw dog breeds listed for seizure

A 20-point checklist will be used to identify and confiscate outlawed breeds 
of dog in southeast Queensland.

The checklist is based on agreed body-part characteristics of restricted 
breeds such as the american pit bull and japanese tosa. 
The 18 councils which make up the Southeast Queensland Regional Organisation 
of Councils unanimously adopted the checklist at its meeting on Friday. 
SEQROC chairman, Brisbane Lord Mayor Tim Quinn, said the new guidelines 
provided a consistent, reliable and transparent process for identifying restricted 
breeds.
