Although Chronic Wasting Disease hasn't been found anywhere in the state,
Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency isn't going to quit looking for it anytime
soon.
TWRA biologists and technicians plan on collecting 2,000 to 3,000 tissue
samples from Tennessee deer this year and have already collected 1,800. The
samples, which are taken from the brain stem, are being collected from checking
stations, meat processors and wildlife management areas.
