AR-News: (US) Saving Animals' Lives - Area Group Seeks More Foster Homes

A regional animal welfare organization has launched an effort to find more
foster homes for animals to reduce the need to euthanize many of them.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington, a 59-year-old organization that
cares for homeless and suffering animals, came under scrutiny from some
rescue organizations last year because it did not have a foster home
program. Such programs arrange for animals that are not immediately
adopted and face certain euthanasia to be cared for instead by members of
rescue organizations at their homes until the animals are placed.
