Pet Adoption Day will return to the West Bank on Saturday to find homes for
dogs, cats, puppies and kittens from the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelters.
Saturday's event is one of an ongoing series of adoption promotions that
bring homeless shelter animals to various sites in the community to give them more
exposure and a greater chance of being adopted.
Double M Feed, Garden and Pet Supply at 543 Holmes Blvd. in Terrytown is
hosting the event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers from the Friends of the Jefferson Animal Shelter will be handling
the animals and will help prospective adopters get to know them. Workers from
the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter also will be there to answer questions and
guide adopters through the adoption process.

species with kindness, love, and compassion. That these animals suffer through human
cruelty is beyond understanding. Please help to stop this madness."
