A coyote, or possibly a mated pair, has been roaming neighborhoods in east
Northbrook in the last few weeks, and is believed responsible for three attacks
on dogs.
Gina Manski, Northbrook Police animal control officer, has reported the
coyote is becoming a nuisance to the neighborhoods by stalking pets at night.
Attacks were reported to Northbrook police on the 1600 block of Voltz Road
and the 1800 block of Trails Edge. Reports were made to the Cook County Forest
Preserve Police about an attack and a confrontation outside Chipilly Woods,
near Lee Road and Walters Avenue.

"As custodians of the planet it is our responsibility to deal with all
species with kindness, love, and compassion. That these animals suffer through human
cruelty is beyond understanding. Please help to stop this madness."
