Wanted to let both of you know about an outlandish piece that I heard last
night on All Things Considered ... a heart-warming story about how IBP and
other community-minded meatpackers are revitalizing small, previously dying
Midwestern towns by bringing good, solid jobs to working-class Hispanic
immigrants.

"NPR's Greg Allen reports on a major change going on in some small towns
throughout the Midwest. The meatpacking industry has relocated many of its
plants to small towns, attracting thousands of new residents, many of them
Hispanics in search of jobs. Meatpacking has revitalized many small towns
while dramatically changing their character."
