LEAKESVILLE -- A Feb. 2, 2004, trial date has been set for a Greene County
man accused of keeping a spotted fawn in a pen with two Rottweilers.

James R. (Johnny) McCullough's attorney called Greene County Justice Court
on Monday and entered a plea of not guilty, according to the court clerk.

The charges stem from a report made in early November to the Mississippi
Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, of a deer in captivity near
the Vernal community.
