EMERGENCY ALERT ON HORSE SLAUGHTER!!! 

CAVEL FALSIFIED INFORMATION ON THEIR LICENSE APPLICATION!!! CONTACT IL GOVERNOR ASKING HIM TO RESCIND CAVEL´S ILLEGAL LICENSE!!!

Cavel International, the Belgian owned company which is rebuilding (QUICKLY) a HORSE SLAUGHTER facility in DeKalb, Illinois has falsified documents on its license application. As a result of this, the Illinois Department of Agriculture has wrongly issued CAVEL INTERNATIONAL a license to operate. 

In addition the IL Dept. of Agriculture issued it without properly inspecting the plant. The IL Dept. of Agriculture told us that they would look into revoking the license to Cavel; it has had several weeks to correct this error, but it has failed to do so. 

Please, FAX, CALL, EMAIL AND WRITE IMMEDIATELY:

ASKING HIM TO LOOK INTO THE WRONG DOING ON THE PART THE ILLINOIS DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE AND TO ORDER IT TO RESCIND THIS WRONGLY ISSUED LICENSE!!!! ASK FAMILY, FRIENDS, WORK/CLASS PARTNERS AND NEIGHBORS TO DO THE SAME!!!! CONTACTING HIM IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!! 

This is a great chance to prevent Cavel from operating, since our BILL 1921 has been put on hold until the January session, due to a sudden death of our Local Representative!!!  CAVEL INTERNATIONAL will be up and KILLING by the end of December 2003.  Our bill WILL pass in January 2004, however, CAVEL will be killing by then and it will be difficult to close them once up and operating!!!  

Time is of the essence: 
DO NOT WASTE TIME AND START CONTACTING HIM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND DO NOT STOP DOING SO FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!!! 

It does not matter that you do not live in Illinois, we need ALL the 
support available, either from Illinois or from outside!!!

Here it is a list of facts that you should hit when contacting the 
Governor:

1. Cavel International burned to the ground in March of 2002 

2. Cavel International applied for the horse slaughter license on 4/14/03. When a facility did NOT even exist. 

3. The IL Dept. of Agriculture granted the license on 4/22/03. 
   They did not inspect the facility as is required.

4. Cavel falsified information on the application, by lying about the 
   state of their facility. 

5. The Ag. Dept. has admitted their error, and has stated that they would look into revoking the license.

6. The Ag dept has had several weeks to correct this error, and have failed to revoke  CAVEL Internationals HORSE SLAUGHTERING LICENSE. 

PLEASE CROSSPOST THIS ACTION ALERT EVERYWHERE!!!!
