Bird Sanctuary Promotes Alternative Thanksgiving Celebration

Normally, Thanksgiving is a bad day for turkeys and other domestic fowl.
But the Eastern Shore Sanctuary & Education Center in Princess Anne,
Maryland will be offering pumpkin pie and other delicacies to chickens,
ducks, and one lucky turkey this Thanksgiving day.

Print and broadcast media are invited to record the festivities at noon.
In order to avoid unduly alarming the birds, the public is not invited to
this event. Reporters and film crews are asked to contact the sanctuary by
telephone or email to reserve a place and obtain driving directions.
