OCALA - Authorities this week arrested an Inverness man on charges of
illegally killing, possessing or capturing an alligator. According to court records,
Kenneth H. Little, 32, of 565 S Tuck Point, faces one felony count and three
counts of a second-degree misdemeanor. His case remains pending in circuit
court in Ocala. The arrest was part of an ongoing investigation by the Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Nine other people, all Marion County
residents, also were charged with wildlife poaching of deer and alligators in
Marion and Lake counties, a commission news release said. Handling the
investigation, which has spanned more than a year, are Officer Washburn Wear and Lt.
Gregg Eason, who cover Marion County and the Ocala National Forest. Little
could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
