A Procter & Gamble Co. retiree left about $110,000 in company stock when
she passed away in 2002 to one of P&G's biggest critics: People for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The animal-rights group said this week that Mary Barbone, who worked at
the Ivory plant in Quincy, Mass., willed the stock to PETA "to fight
injustice to animals."
