The letter below erroreously states that Hitler was a vegetarian.   The 
Asheville Citizen-Times takes letters limited to 200 words at

Wondering which party Hitler would support were he alive
Posted: Nov. 17, 2003 12:01 a.m. I've been reading letters recently 
attempting to connect Naziism to Arnold Schwarzenegger, President George Bush and 
anything conservative that makes liberals intolerant. The History Channel aired a 
BBC documentary on the life of Adolf Hitler, who I believe was pure evil. The 
show (enlightened) me on three key points: 
n Hitler believed the two biggest evils in the world were capitalism and 
communism. Hitler believed if he could defeat communism in the East, he could then 
concentrate on defeating capitalism in the West, and then socialism could 
rule the world. "Naziism" was an American euphemism for "national socialism." 
n In any area that came under national socialist control, the people were 
stripped of their guns. The only people allowed to have guns were the military 
branch of the national socialists. 
n Hitler was a strict vegetarian and didn't want anyone to eat meat in his 
presence. 
So, according to the BBC documentary, Adolf Hitler was a vegetarian socialist 
who believed in gun control. If Hitler were alive today and living in 
America, which of the two major political parties would he belong to based on the 
three facts as presented by the BBC documentary?
