AR-News: (US) Cruelty Seminar Opens Eyes

"Cruelty to animals usually relates to cruelty to people— I never put that
together before," said Howard Calkins, mayor of Edgewood.

It's likely the mayor is not the only official in the state who left the
recent governor's conference on the link between animal cruelty and human
violence feeling as if they'd discovered something new.
