The animal rights group, PETA is offering a $2,500 reward to catch whoever
hurt several kittens and cats in Tucson. Two cages of animals were left on the
doorstep of the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter last month. Investigators think
the cats had been caught in leghold traps. One kitten was so badly injured it
had to be euthanized. Two others had to have their tails amputated. Also in one
of the cages, the partially skinned head of a cat.
Anyone with information on this case is urged to call 88-CRIME.
