HAGERSTOWN, MD OCTOBER 22- A battle is brewing over classroom dissections,
after animal rights activists link the lessons to a local teenager's
violent crime against animals.

The controversy boils down to this question: Do dissections teach science
or violence? An animal rights group has sent a letter to Boonsboro High
School. In it, a warning, that tomorrow's violent criminals may in fact be
influenced by the dissections they perform in biology classes.

Stop dissections. That's the message from the 'People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals.'

Patricia Trostle of PETA said, "dissection teaches that animals are no
