"Tia" was rescued at six weeks of age from an abusive situation where other
kittens had died. She is now is four months old, happy, playful, and curious.
She loves people and other cats, ignores dogs, and is hoping to find a
permanent home where she can be the main source of entertainment.
She is one of the "Cats of Summer" who will be anxious to meet prospective
adopters at the upcoming adoption day to be held by the Oswego County Humane
Society at the Central Square Wal-Mart Super Center on Saturday, October 11, from
10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Prospective owners will be able to meet cats, kittens, and puppies, fill out
adoption forms, and pick up their new pets after their references have been
checked. All of the animals are spayed or neutered (or will be before they are
released) and up to date with shots.
They have been vet-checked for health problems. The cats and kittens are
litter trained, and the puppies have begun their training.
The adoption fee, which covers a portion of the veterinary costs incurred by
the Humane Society, is $60.00 for cats and kittens and $100 for puppies.
All of these pets have been in private homes, so they are well socialized,
and their foster families can report how well they get along with other cats,
dogs, and children. They are "The Cats (and Dogs) of Summer", found during the
past spring and summer and rescued by the Humane Society. They need good
homes before winter comes again.
For more information, call the Oswego County Humane Society at 315-207-1070.
