AR-News: (US) Builders add site security after arsons

Home builders are beefing up security in the wake of two recent arsons,
and they say the added costs could add to already sky-high home prices.

Friday's early-morning arsons at two housing developments under
construction in Carmel Valley extinguished hopes that a blaze set at a
University City-area apartment project Aug. 1 was an isolated incident.
Both fires are suspected to be the work of a militant environmentalist
group, the Earth Liberation Front.

"There are a lot of concerned people out there," said Matthew Adams of the
Building Industry Association. "This represents a major shift from
environmental activism to environmental terrorism."
