AR-News: (US) Birmingham judge returns after censure for ethics violations

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- The state Court of the Judiciary censured a
Birmingham municipal court judge Monday for two ethics violations in
his handling of an animal cruelty case against the City Council
president.

As part of the court's order, Barnes admitted that he should have
disqualified himself from the case last year against Birmingham City
Council President Lee Loder. Loder was accused of not feeding or
properly caring for his dog.
