AR-News: (US) Save Elephants group is up against deadline

An animal rights coalition has until Thursday to appeal a judge's refusal
to halt the transfer of 11 African elephants from Swaziland to two U.S. zoos.

U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington, D.C., rejected the request
for an injunction but directed that the elephants remain where they are
until the appeal deadline.
