AR-News: (US) Thousands outraged at feline's fiery fate

SPOKANE — Thousands of people have signed petitions demanding maximum
penalties for two teenage boys charged with dousing a cat with gasoline
and igniting the animal.

Max the cat, 2, died three days after the fiery ordeal.

Jason R. Brumback and Rusty V. Rardon, each 17, are each charged with
first-degree animal cruelty, a felony, for the July 20 incident. Both are
now restricted to their homes.
