      1. Tiger Truck Tour to Expose Adidas Has Started

      The Tiger Truck made its first stop in San Diego on Friday. We reached thousands of people exposing Adidas for their involvement in the kangaroo slaughter. And as the police harassed us we were told that Adidas had called them. Such a thoughtful corporation! We know these images are the last thing they want the public to see.



      The truck has already started to make the rounds in Los Angeles. 




      AR2003 EVENT: If you live in LA or will be at the Animal Rights 2003 conference in LA (www.animalrights2003.org) we will be taking a trip out with the Tiger Truck on Saturday night (August 2nd). Stop by the Viva! or SHARK table for details. Please join us - just call us at 530/848-4021 or meet us at the LA Westin Hotel. We will be leaving from there.

      2. International Day of Action Against Adidas - Sign up

      If you are interested in organizing an event in your community on behalf of the kangaroos for this date, please e-mail us at roos at vivausa.org and tell us:


      1) Your name & address

      2) If we can pass your contact information along to other activists who might want to join you
      3) In what city you plan on doing an event

      A soccer store or any sporting company that sells Adidas would be a great place to leaflet - and that's all you need to do!



      3. Remind Baskin Robbins and Ben & Jerry's that they can give people a choice for a healthy non-dairy ice cream!
       

      Many of you have probably seen the news that a new study has come out about the fat content of various ice creams. (USA Today, July 23, 2003

      Remind some of these ice cream giants that they can make a healthy, non-dairy ice cream like Soy Delicious and Soy Cream (by Double Rainbow).



      Call Baskin Robbins (800-859-5339) and Ben & Jerry's (802-846-1500 or email consumerassistance at benjerry.com) and ask them to carry a vegan ice cream.
