AR-News: (US) MAN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY DUMPING DOGS

A Smith County man was arrested Monday for animal cruelty after admitting
he dumped two basset hound puppies on the side of the road and drove away.

One hound died shortly after the abandonment when a car struck it; another
dog killed the other after the pup wandered onto private property,
officials with the Precinct 2 constable's office said.
