week!  It seems Mr. Plamer has left A.C.D.S.  But President Grant Jordan is

there.  Let him know how you feel about his company's business with HLS!

Last Monday, July 21, SHAC USA sent the below letter to A.C.D.S. Research 
Inc.,
asking them to clarify their current and potential future business 
relationship with
Huntingdon Life Sciences.  Additional follow up calls were made, but 
A.C.D.S. has
still not replied to our request.

A.C.D.S. is a small company in upstate New York, with reportedly less than 
10
employees. They have been revealed as a business affiliate of HLS in 2000.  
This
week, please contact them and express your disgust that they would conduct 
bus iness
with a company that kills 500 animals every day.  Ask them to declare once 
and for
all that they will never again do business with HLS!

To Whom It May Concern,

I write regarding your company’s affiliation with the CRO Huntingdon Life
Sciences (HLS)#.  Our organization reports, via a website and regular
newsletters, on a global effort to close the lab.  As part of that endeavor,
activists have conducted pressure campaigns against companies with business 
ties to
HLS- a strategy that has proved enormously successful.  We are proud to 
include the
world’s biggest companies among the campaign’s victories, including 
Citibank,
Merrill Lynch, HSBC, and more.

Recently, a list of companies with whom HLS has conducted business between 
2000 and
2003 was leaked to animal rights activists.  A.C.D.S. was listed under the 
year
2000.

Since receiving this list, we have contacted each company to assess its 
current
relationship to HLS.  Those companies who no longer conduct business with 
the lab
have provided us with a statement specifying that they do not currently have
business ties to HLS and will not have them in the future.  We have then 
informed
campaigners of this by removing the company from our website:

Enclosed please find fact sheets detailing horrendous cruelties repeatedly
exposed at HLS, and efforts to close the lab.  If A.C.D.S. no longer has any
business affiliation with Huntingdon, and is in a position to assure us that
this will remain the case in the future, please contact us by Friday, July 
25,
2003 with a statement confirming this in writing.  If we do not hear from 
you,
we will assume your business relationship with HLS is still current.

We hope to resolve this issue amicably and accurately convey your company‘s
position to our supporters.
