AR-News: (US) 30 Dead Cats Found In New Jersey Home

HAZLET, N.J. -- A group that rescues Siberian huskies made a gruesome
discovery while removing dogs from a home on Saturday: They stumbled upon
a room full of dead cats.

At least 30 felines were found in various stages of decomposition, said
Stuart Goldman, chief cruelty officer with the Monmouth County Society for
the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The 63-year-old homeowner will face animal cruelty charges as a result of
the discovery, Goldman told News 12 New Jersey.

He described the home as "a mess. Excrement. Cages. Debris." He said
neighbors in the "nice, middle-class neighborhood" often complained about
the woman's dogs escaping and running loose in the neighborhood. Once some
of her huskies killed a neighbor's dog and cat, Goldman said.
