AR-News: (CA) Politicians reject Sifton bog deer cull

Emotions ran high for hours last night as city officials and concerned
citizens debated a proposed archery hunt to thin the population of
white-tail deer in Sifton Bog. In a 4-1 vote, the city's planning
committee rejected the plan.

Instead, the committee wants a study of the deer population in the bog and
is asking the Natural Resources Ministry (MNR) develop a sterilization
plan. The issue now goes to city council Monday.
